Paperwork

As with any new medical provider, you will be required to fill out some paperwork. We will ask for basic information such as your name and address, as well as your health and dental history. If you have dental insurance, be sure to bring your insurance card with you. If you are transferring from another dental office, we can assist you in requesting your records be sent to us.

Dental Examination

You will be taken to an examination room where a dental hygienist will perform a basic examination and take notes for Dr. Scott. He will then perform a more thorough examination, evaluating your teeth, gums, mouth, and jaw bone for any issues such as cavities, enamel erosion, and receding gums.

X-Rays

During your first visit, we will take x-rays of your teeth to gain more information about your dental health. The images will show us areas that can’t be seen by the naked eye, such as cavities or the health of your jawbone.

Conversation Between You and Dr. Scott

Dr. Scott will want to know what you hope to gain through dental treatment. Are you looking for better oral health or do you have cosmetic concerns such as teeth straightening or whitening? This conversation will help us understand your goals and develop a treatment plan that works for you.
